Which of the above do you like best? Tough decision, huh?
So this is where I get to go to work for eight hours every day (that may be pushing it). Nice lighting, huh? What I most love is how we're encouraged to be individuals. Corporate life is so . . . stimulating is really the only word that will suffice. Creativity is a powerful force and someday companies will figure that out. Inspire creativity and results will follow.
The all powerful Google (I'm bowing my head in blind solidarity) seems to have figured that out and provides many office amenities. More importantly, they also let employees use 20% of their time to work on outside projects. Can you imagine?
My office is actually pretty diverse and includes just about the nicest group of people I've ever met, but you wouldn't know it by the look of the office. I'd much rather work in my home office (below), where I believe I'd be more productive, surrounded by all the things I love.
What do you think? What's your work environment like? Would you be more productive if you could design your office? Or, have you? How have you personalized yours?
The rehabbed and revamped basement includes an office with pocket doors. All my fetishes (feti?) revealed . . . Hitchcock, Superheros & Red Leather. You know what they say about red leather, don't you?
The honest to goodness nook with more Hitchcock, more Wonder Woman and a dash of Teen Titans.
Where's Batman? In the living room. But you won't catch me decorating with Star Wars; only dorks do that.
