Moving Sale at Idlewild in Chicago's Lakeview

High-end chandelier; price reduced from $4299 to $899. Idlewild is located at 1836 W. Belmont in Chicago.

Unfortunately, the folks at Idlewild have decided to pick up and move to Dallas. It's too bad because this shop offers high-end design on a somewhat boring stretch of Belmont. Idlewild offers a mix of case pieces, upholstered items, home accessories and luxurious fabrics. Among the deals I saw were pillows for $39, cashmere throws from Florence for $45, and a giant framed, vintage map for $45 (the glass is broken, but the frame and picture are in great shape).

Idlewild offers a number of screens at great prices.

Hurry in, because things are going fast; I bought up a number of the better fabric samples today, which are big enough to cover a large throw pillow (priced at $3.00 each).

This piece is a steal at $549. It has a great mid-century look.

These great mirrors would make a dramatic impact, alone or as a group. They could read either Asian or Mission style depending on what they were paired with. The screens are on sale for $129 to $199.

Sale of the Week - Shelving Unit at West Elm

I've never purchased anything at West Elm, but I enjoy looking at their catalog. I found this shelving unit on their website the other night. I think it has great lines, and the price is right at $349 (originally $499).
