House Beautiful bathroom

Sorry for the infrequent posts this week. I enjoyed an all too brief sojourn with friends in New Buffalo earlier this week, and I’ve been working on a number of assignments and other side projects. Unfortunately, I haven’t even started my big summer goal – stripping my vintage painted metal tanker desk. Fumes prevent me from using the stripper indoors, so I need to hop to it before winter. In the meantime, what do you think of this bathroom from House Beautiful? My style isn’t overly traditional, but House Beautiful regularly features spaces that challenge that notion, and I wouldn’t change a thing about this space.

p.s. Speaking of Michigan, Ipso Facto founder Brandon Nelson is opening his new endeavor Trilogy Antiques and Design. There’s a big to-do Saturday night at 6 p.m., and I highly recommend checking it out. Drive over early and visit nearby Buchanan’s NonPareil street festival from Noon to 10 p.m.

I would change ONE thing – I would shut off the bath water! If no one is in the room in their robe and slippers the water should not be running. Aside from that, yes, this room is a stunner.
