Golden Auxiliary Space (Lakeview)

Lakeview art gallery Golden recently opened an auxiliary space right in the heart of the bustling Broadway business district. The move allows Golden to work with more artists while offering affordably priced art to a wider audience. “We operate the auxiliary space somewhere between a retail operation and a traditional commercial gallery,” says exhibitions manager Andrew Blackley. The synergies enabled by the new space have already begun to materialize. In September, Golden will be showing New York painter Patricia Treib’s work, and the auxiliary space will be selling a special screen print created for the show. On display during my visit last week were works by Caleb Lyons, John Neff and Molly Roth. Plus, the space is very cool. Check it out for yourself.

I’m fascinated with this Caleb Lyons piece. Thanks to Golden for this image.
