Thanks to everybody who entered and / or voted in the My Favorite Room contest sponsored by The Painted Lady in Bucktown. The entry with the most votes wins any item for $100 or less at The Painted Lady. Things got fast and furious, and my prediction that it would be a nail biter proved to be accurate. But the results have been tallied, and we have a winner. May I have the envelope please? Hmm . . . very interesting. The winner is Matthew Carollo! Congratulations Matthew! I love your space. That sofa is killer! And congrats to interior designer Amy Leafblad, who was a close runner-up. Thanks again to everybody who participated!

Congratulations to Matt, the Winner of My Favorite Room! He used a wide range of disparate elements to create this unique space. While I myself did not vote for him to win, I agree with the voters’ choice for the runner-up. Congrats to Amy Leafblad too. I would feel very comfortable in her space.
