What’s new at Revival? Location, location, location!

What’s new at Revival? For starters, location, location, location! Owner Mark Steinke recently moved his shop from its longtime storefront at the corner of Southport and Irving Park to Armitage just west of Damen in the very cool Bucktown neighborhood. Adjacent neighborhoods Bucktown and Wicker Park are home to a growing number of home stores, and Revival is a natural fit with its eclectic but sophisticated selection of salvaged pieces alongside the finest examples of sixties and seventies-era furnishings. Plan a trip. Despite the infusion of Starbucks, Mark Jacobs and many trendy restaurants, the rapidly gentrifying Wicker Park / Bucktown area retains a vibrant, albeit slightly gritty, scene, which often feels more like Manhattan than Chicago. Living in Edgewater Glen on the far north side, I don’t make it over there as often as I’d like, so Revival gives me one more very good reason to visit.
