Tabletop Contest: And the winner is . . .

Congratulations to Emily, whose tabletop earned 17 votes, slightly edging out Geyer (15 votes) and Jessica (11 votes). Emily wins a copy of Tereasa Surratt’s Country Living book A Very Modest Cottage. (Send me your address Emily). Second and third place contestants Geyer and Jessica win my presence at one of their future dinner parties. And seriously, they were all winners in my book, so thanks to everybody who participated! It was a bit of a nail biter at times, and I appreciated the shot of adrenaline I felt whenever I approved a flurry of comments.

Would you like to see more contests in the future? If so, what kind of prizes will make participating worth your time? Have a great weekend.

If you’re a PR person, company or shop who would like to sponsor a future giveaway, please contact me. strangeclosets at yahoo.

  1. Dagnabbit… Guyer should have won. Just sayin’.

  2. I love the winner’s tabletop!!! Congrats Emily!! The daschund (I am not even going to try to spell that correctly) is too cute.

  3. Yaaaay! So excited that I won! Thanks everyone! The wiener dog was my granddads and he would be so happy to see that it is still loved & cherished :)

  4. Congratulations, Emily!!

  5. Hi, Emily! I voted for someone else’s but I can see why yours won. A great combination of textures, colours and a charming dachshund. I see that your wiener dog is not just a sculpture but a long slender bowl. What have you put into it in the past? Do you just have him there as an ornament now? Or does he hold pins and other sewing necessities when you are handstitching?
