Open House: Arthur and Wyatt’s Place

Living above the store may sound old-fashioned, but it’s not so difficult to figure out why it still holds appeal. For one thing, it sure cuts down on the commute. Just ask my good friends, partners Arthur Swirgon and Wyatt who live above Arthur’s fantastic showroom on California Avenue in West Garfield Park. If you haven’t ventured out to Arthur’s store, hurry over (320 S. California), because Arthur marches to the beat of his own drummer, and he’s put together a unique and fantastic selection of mid-century modern furniture and African American art. In fact, Arthur will ultimately sell most of the pieces you see here, so give him a call if you see something you like. In addition to having fantastic taste, Arthur and Wyatt are great friends and two of the kindest people I know. Thanks guys!
