Open House: Jackie Seiden’s new art installation

When I met artists Don and Jackie Seiden last year, Jackie was thinking about selling or giving away her SUV, which was on its last legs.  She seemed resigned to the fact that she wasn’t going to own it anymore, and it seemed like she was trying to find something purposeful to do with it.  So I was excited when she invited me over recently to see her new art installation – which she’d parked on an angle pointing toward the house.  Reminiscent of her suitcase assemblages, Jackie filled, adorned and surrounded the SUV that’s gotten her around town.  It’s amazing.

  1. I give Jackie lots of credit for being brave enough to buck the trend of “less is more”. However, having something like that in my yard would drive me absolutely nuts. But, hey, that’s me. Jackie should do what makes her happy.

  2. I didn’t fine this post helpful or inspiring. Sorry, not sure if you only want to hear positive feedback.
