This Week: Mod Life

Mod Life recently moved into new digs a bit further south on Lincoln Avenue, and I finally had the opportunity to visit a few weeks ago.  In addition to Eames and the usual suspects, owner Robert Zizzo carries a number of spectacular pieces by lesser known designers, which makes Mod Life a good choice when you want to add an unexpected touch of mid-century glamor that sets your place apart from the crowd.  The showroom’s gorgeous, and if Robert’s out shopping for new stock, his friendly and knowledgeable assistant Ophelia will take good care of you.

Zizzo actually created this gorgeous one-of-a-kind piece.  It’s shiny, sexy and happy all at the same time.

  3. I went to an evening pary here a few weeks ago and loved not only the great collection of mid-c furniture, but the current art installation! Best of all the lovely glossy art is very affordable.
