Maintaining post regularity is difficult when barraged with multiple technical problems

Hello Folks,

Thank you for your patience with the irregularity of my posts, the e-mail delivery problems and all the technical issues I’ve been having.  A malicious worm recently attacked the platform I use to host my blog, so you may have visited Strange Closets and received a warning about it being infected, a problem I’ve since resolved.  The debugging process was quite confusing and took a tremendous physical and mental toll (just kidding, but it was time-consuming and pretty much sucked altogether).  Google throws that page up when it detects any potential problems.  After I addressed the issue in question, I submitted a ticket with Google to review the site, and they gave it a clean bill of health.  Hurray!  Their report also said Strange Closets had infected zero other networks, so there’s no need for you to fret about that possibility.

Once I fixed that problem, I was aghast to discover all the post photos had disappeared.  Crap!  Luckily that took a five minute phone call to resolve.  As if that weren’t enough to worry about, while this was happening my Feedburner RSS service stopped delivering e-mails or feed updates.  When it rains it pours.  Fixing this just about put me into a straight jacket, but fixed it I did.  I won’t bore you with the details, but I do apologize for any inconvenience.  If you ever notice you haven’t received your daily e-mail, you can always visit Strange Closets directly to read those stories.  And if you don’t receive updates by e-mail, please consider doing so today.

Between working on my paid writing assignments and all the technical snafu’s, post regularity has suffered a bit, but things seem to be resolved, and I have some great pieces coming up, including some AMAZING Open House tours, an update on the the revitalization of Buchanan, Michigan, which I first wrote about last winter, and finally, a few rambling rants (I’m going ALL CAPS baby).

Finally, if you have thoughts about specific posts, please comment.  Most bloggers don’t exactly make a good living from doing this, but having a reason to meet so many interesting people and hear from you guys makes it all worthwhile.

Enjoy the remainder of your Monday.
