The Exception to the Rule

I love this, but the rest of the store? Not so much.

The Strange Closets rule this week is that vintage is cool, but there are exceptions to every rule (yes, even mine). I'm going to refrain from naming this establishment, but if you think you know it, email me the address, and I'll send you a $25 gift American Express gift certificate. To up the ante even more, if you locate, purchase and photograph yourself in the white dress (shown below), I'll give you another $25 gift certificate.

Nearly everything in this entire 3 level antique mall was ugly, and I felt myself getting more and more depressed as I searched in vain for just one cool thing (not esoterically cool, just cool).

I finally found it, an old pedestal sink, but in that environment, it was the exception. It's too bad, because the space is fantastic, especially the large upstairs room with sky-high ceilings (finished in gray lacquer) and tall stain-glass windows.

I realize this is my opinion, so what do you think?

Yes, it's a feather hat. Could it be fantastic? No? Right answer.

I do love Jesus stuff. This is, by the way, a holograph, not a miracle.

Seriously, the eyes glow blue. WTF?

Why do I have to live here?

Look at the bright side. Don't ask me.
